James Tanneberger is the CEO of South Central Indiana REMC, an electric utility co-op. He is also the CEO of Accord Telecommunications Collaborative, a regional, fiber, middle-mile consortium in Indiana and surrounding states.
Originally from a small town in Texas, he now resides in Bloomington, Indiana with his wife and their four kids. He has a passion for building new relationships between rural providers (telephone companies and electric cooperatives) who find themselves in the same industry for the first time.
He has started three companies and has served as board member, CEO, and/or both for several as well. He has a heart for servant leadership, and he cares deeply about rural America. As a result, he has embarked on a continuous journey toward self-improvement, introspective examination, and learning.
James seeks to gain wisdom from his own experiences and to multiply that wisdom exponentially by also learning from the experiences of others. He is always studying, and he loves to share what he has learned.
